Virtua Foundation - Impact Report - Oncology - page 2

We want patients to be healed through and through. We want them to finish their treatment
not beaten down and wiped out, but stronger in every aspect of their lives. This means
providing the best treatment, but also extra care and items of comfort, emotional support,
a support system and all they need to move on with their lives when the cancer is gone. And,
your gifts have the power to make that happen at Virtua every day.
—Diane Gillum, MD FACS
Medical Director
Virtua Breast Program
Your gifts allow us to advance the medical
treatment of cancer – but that’s not all they do.
Welcome
At Virtua, we are grateful to each and every person who supports the programs and services our
cancer patients rely on for life-changing results. Our partnership with the Fox Chase Cancer Center
ensures we are there every step of the way, from preventative care to treatment and beyond.
As a non-profit organization, Virtua relies on the generosity and philanthropic support of our
neighbors to expand services, introduce new programs, improve facilities, and continue to enhance
our medical technology. Your gifts ensure Virtua’s skilled physicians, nurses and other clinicians
can fulfill our mission to help families be well, get well and stay well.
Inside this report you will find stories about the programs our patients rely on for care and comfort
throughout their journey, from early detection screenings to post-treatment exercise plans, and
the powerful gifts that make them possible.
We would like to take this opportunity to recognize some of our partners who support oncology
services at Virtua and illustrate the power of their gifts. It is important to know that every gift, no
matter the amount, truly makes a difference in the fight against cancer.
Thank you for commitment and your interest in providing meaningful support for the Virtua Fox
Chase Cancer Program.
Sincerely,
Rose McManus Coleman
