MAY 2 1 , 2 0 1 8 YouAre Beautiful Rizzieri Salon & Spa hosted its second annual “You Are Beautiful” reception on May 21, with all proceeds supporting the Hair Boutique that will be housed in the new Samson Cancer Center, opening in October 2018. In just two years, Rizzieri has contributed nearly $90,000 to this remarkable initiative! 4 A P R I L 2 8 , 2 0 1 8 Survivors in Step Hosted by Arthur Murray Dance Studio Marlton on April 28, the third annual Survivors in Step event was an elegant night of dance for a great cause: the event raised nearly $16,000 for oncology services at Virtua. In three years, Survivors in Step has raised more than $57,000 to support cancer patients. J U N E 3 , 2 0 1 8 Run with the Docs Now in its fourth year, Run with the Docs was held on June 3 to benefit Virtua’s Perinatal Bereavement and Palliative Care program. Since 2015, Run with the Docs has raised more than $200,000 to support South Jersey families who experience the tragic loss of a pregnancy or infant. Community Partners Making a Difference S E P T E MB E R - O C TO B E R 2 0 1 7 Spirit of Children In the fall of 2017, Spirit Halloween had another tremendously successful season of fundraising, contributing nearly $60,000 to support Child Life at Virtua. Since 2011, Spirit has raised more than $332,000 to help make the hospital a less scary place for children and their families! From supporting cancer patients and caring for kids to providing nutrition education and nursing scholarships, Virtua Foundation Community Partners have significantly impacted our community. The Virtua Community Partner events highlighted in this issue took place between September 2017 and June 2018 .
