13 Virtua Foundation is grateful for the commitment and dedication of the Auxiliaries in their ongoing efforts to support Virtua patients and families across South Jersey! VirtuaWest JerseyAuxiliary The Auxiliary Board to Virtua Berlin, Camden, Marlton and Voorhees is dedicated to supporting Virtua’s hospitals and ambulatory centers. Serving as ambassadors in the community, their fundraising efforts have most recently supported Virtua Camden and the C.A.S.T.L.E. program for children in need of behavioral health services. In 2017, the auxiliary donated $95,000 to support programs and services at Virtua Camden. These funds were raised as a result of their various fundraising efforts throughout the year. Virtua Memorial Auxiliary The Auxiliary Board toVirtua Memorial Hospital is dedicated to raising funds to support the patients and families served by Virtua Memorial Hospital.The annual CooksTour, which is a holiday tradition in the community, is the auxiliary’s largest fundraiser. In 2017, the auxiliary donated $106,000 to support oncology programs and services at Virtua Memorial Hospital.The auxiliary’s efforts will provide the funds necessary to purchase a state-of- the-art Fax-A-Tron machine, which will provide more precision, accuracy and quicker results for patients undergoing breast biopsy procedures. Virtua Auxiliaries A long-standing commitment to supporting patients and families served by Virtua AThrift Shop for a Cause If you’ve traveled throughWestampton, you may have noticed the Virtua Memorial Thrift Shop onWoodlane Road. But what you may not have known is that this thrift shop is owned and operated by the Virtua Memorial Auxiliary Board and all proceeds from the store benefit Virtua Memorial Hospital. In addition, donations of gently used clothing and accessories, small appliances, jewelry, household items, linens and seasonal decorations can be made to the store Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The next time you are cleaning out your closet or thinking of donating items you no longer use, consider donating your items to the Virtua Memorial Thrift Shop and help to support a terrific cause!
